Leads often need a second campaign: people who never replied to your first sequence, leads who said "later", or a segment that turned out to deserve different copy. Because every lead in OutreachFox is a contact that can belong to any number of lists, moving leads between campaigns is a matter of selecting them, putting them in a list, and adding that list to the target campaign.

Move vs copy

  • Copy: the lead stays in the source campaign (in whatever status they have) and is also added to the target campaign. Use this when the source campaign is finished and you only want the history kept.
  • Move: the lead is stopped or deleted in the source campaign and added to the target. Use this when the source campaign is still sending and you do not want the lead to receive two sequences at once.

Steps

  1. Open the source campaign and click Contacts.
  2. Use the Status filter to select the group you want, for example Completed (finished the sequence without replying) or Not interested.
  3. Tick the leads (use the select-all checkbox for the whole filtered view).
  4. From the actions menu choose Add to list, then pick an existing list or create a new one such as Q3 no-reply – retarget.
  5. If you are moving rather than copying, keep the selection and choose Stop (keeps history) or Delete (removes from campaign).
  6. Open the target campaign, click ContactsUpload ContactsLists, select the list you just created, click Next, then Resume Campaign (or Launch Campaign for a new campaign).

The leads appear in the target campaign as Not contacted and start at step 1 of the new sequence.

Alternative: export and re-import

If your workflow lives in a spreadsheet, export the filtered leads to CSV (see Export leads to CSV), edit the file, and upload it into the target campaign with Upload new CSV. Choose Merge on the duplicate screen so enrichment data on the contact is preserved.

Tips

  • Wait at least 4–6 weeks before retargeting leads who finished a sequence with no reply, and change the angle, not just the wording.
  • Never copy Unsubscribed or Bounced leads; OutreachFox suppresses unsubscribes, but bounced addresses will bounce again and hurt the new campaign's reputation.
  • Name retarget lists with the source campaign in the name so you can trace where a lead came from later.
  • A lead can be in two campaigns at once. OutreachFox does not stop the first sequence automatically, so stop or delete them in the source if both campaigns are live.

Troubleshooting

  • Leads did not appear in the target campaign: they already existed in that campaign (duplicates are not added twice) or the list you selected is empty.
  • Lead received emails from both campaigns: you copied instead of moved. Stop the lead in the campaign you do not want.
