Waterfall enrichment fills in missing data on contacts you already have. Instead of querying one data vendor and accepting whatever it returns, OutreachFox asks provider after provider, in order, until a verified value is found, across 50+ data providers. The result is higher fill rates than any single source: a list with 40% emails can typically come back with 70–85%.

What you can enrich

**Field group****Examples**
**Contact**Work email, direct phone, mobile, LinkedIn URL
**Person**Current title, seniority, department, location
**Company**Website, industry, employee count, revenue range, HQ location, founded year, LinkedIn URL
**Technographics**Tools detected on the company's website
**Signals**Recent funding, hiring, job change (where available)

Prerequisites

  • Contacts in a list under Contacts, with at least a name and company (or a LinkedIn URL, or an email) so providers can match the person.
  • Credits. Enrichment is charged per contact per field group that returns a value; nothing is charged when nothing is found.

Steps

  1. Click Contacts and open the list to enrich.
  2. Select the contacts (select-all for the whole list).
  3. Choose Enrich from the actions menu.
  4. Tick the fields to append: for example Work email and Company size. Untick fields you already have to save credits.
  5. Review the estimated credit cost and click Start enrichment.
  6. Wait for the job to finish. Progress is shown on the list. Large lists run in the background; you can leave the page.
  7. New values are written to the matching contact fields. Existing values are kept unless you chose to overwrite.

Enriched fields are immediately available as Variables in the sequence editor.

How the waterfall decides

  1. Providers are ordered by historical accuracy for the field and region.
  2. The first provider is queried; if it returns a value, the value is verified (emails via mailbox check).
  3. If verification fails or nothing is returned, the next provider is queried.
  4. The first verified value wins; remaining providers are skipped, and you are charged once.

Tips

  • Enrich before uploading to a campaign, not after; that way the mapping and variables are ready at launch.
  • Include the LinkedIn URL in your upload when you have it. It is the most reliable matching key across providers.
  • Use Company size and Industry enrichment to segment a mixed list into separate campaigns with different copy.
  • Enrich in batches and review a sample of 20 contacts for accuracy before running the full list.

Troubleshooting

  • Low fill rate for emails: contacts lack company domain or full name. Add a website or company name column and re-run.
  • Title is out of date: providers refresh at different rates. Re-enrich only the Title field, which queries a different provider order.
  • Enrichment overwrote a field I wanted to keep: choose Keep existing values in the enrichment dialog next time; restore from your original CSV via Merge on upload.
