OutreachFox uses credits for actions that call external data providers: enriching a contact and verifying an email address. Sending email, warmup and campaign management do not consume credits. This article explains what a credit buys, where to see your balance and usage, and how to top up.
What consumes credits

Exact per-action costs are shown next to each action in the product and on the pricing page. You are not charged for a lookup that returns nothing.
Where to see your balance and usage

Click Settings in the bottom-left navigation.

Open Billing (or Credits & Usage).

You see:
- Credits remaining — the current balance.
- Monthly allowance — credits included in your plan and the date they reset.
- Usage — credits consumed this period, broken down by verification and enrichment, with a per-day chart.
- Mailboxes / contacts / emails — usage against the plan's limits (see Plans overview).
Enrichment and verification jobs also show their credit cost before you confirm them, and the result summary afterwards (found / not found / credits used).
How to top up
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Buy credits (or Top up).
- Choose a credit pack. Larger packs have a lower per-credit price.
- Confirm payment. Credits are added immediately and do not expire with the monthly allowance.
Optional: turn on Auto top-up and set a threshold (for example 500 credits) and a pack size, so long enrichment jobs never stall.
Wallet vs credits
OutreachFox has two separate balances:
- Credits — enrichment and verification inside OutreachFox.
- Icemail wallet — money used to buy domains and mailboxes in Icemail (top-left switcher → Icemail). It also supports auto top-up.
Topping up one does not affect the other.
Tips
- Verify before you upload: run verification on a list first and keep only valid addresses. It costs 1 credit per row and prevents bounces, which are far more expensive in reputation.
- Deduplicate before enriching. Choose merge for duplicates on upload so you do not enrich the same person twice.
- Enrich in batches of a few hundred and review the hit rate before running a full list.
- Watch the monthly reset date; use the included allowance before buying packs.
Troubleshooting
- Enrichment job stopped part-way — the balance ran out. Top up or enable auto top-up; the job resumes from where it stopped.
- Charged for a contact with no email — check the result: a phone or company hit still costs credits. Restrict the job to email only if that is all you need.
- Usage looks higher than expected — open the per-day usage chart; a re-run on an already-enriched list is the usual cause.
