Once your subject and body are written, use the editor tools to personalise the email, remove spam triggers and check how it renders before you save. This is the second half of launching your first email campaign.

Steps

  1. With step 1 open in the editor, click Variables. Insert placeholders such as the lead's first name or company. Spintext tags and other placeholders are also available from here.

  1. Click Spam Words. OutreachFox lists words in your copy that are commonly treated as spammy. Rewrite or remove them so you land in the primary inbox rather than the spam folder.

  1. Click Preview to see how the email looks to a recipient, with variables filled in.
  2. When you are happy with the email, click Save.
  3. Optional: click New Variant to add an A/B variant of this step. Add as many variants as you want.
  4. Optional: click Add Step to add another email to the sequence.
  5. Click Save and Next.
  6. Set up your leads: choose who receives the emails (upload a CSV or pick an existing list).
  7. On the Settings step, review timing, daily sending volume, ESP matching and the other campaign settings, then launch.

What you see afterwards: the campaign appears in the Campaigns list. Open it to see sequence, contacts, settings and reporting tabs.

Tips

  • Always add a fallback for variables (for example "there" for first name) so a blank field never produces "Hi ,".
  • Spam Words flags the obvious triggers ("free", "guarantee", "act now"). It does not catch tone, so still read the email aloud.
  • Preview with two or three different contacts, not just the first row, to catch odd capitalisation in imported data.
  • Save before switching steps; unsaved edits in the editor are lost when you click another step.

Troubleshooting

  • Preview shows the raw variable name — the contact list has no column mapped to that field. Re-map on the contacts step or add a fallback.
  • Save and Next is disabled — the active step has an empty subject or body, or an unsaved variant.
