LinkedIn Outreach and Multi Channel Outreach campaigns run actions from your own LinkedIn profile. Before you can select a LinkedIn account in a campaign, you connect it once under Settings. This article covers the connection, the daily limits OutreachFox applies to keep the account safe, and which actions a sequence can perform.
Prerequisites
- A LinkedIn account in good standing that you have used normally for at least a few weeks (a brand-new profile is restricted quickly).
- Two-factor authentication details handy if enabled on the account.
- Optional: LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator; both raise the practical limits.
Steps
- Click Settings in the bottom-left of the left nav.
- Open the LinkedIn Accounts section and click Connect LinkedIn Account.
- Sign in with your LinkedIn email and password in the window that opens. If LinkedIn asks for a verification code, enter it.
- OutreachFox connects through a dedicated proxy located in your country so LinkedIn sees a consistent location. Confirm the country if prompted.
- Set the daily limits for this account (see recommended values below) and click Save.
- The account shows as Connected with its daily limits. It is now selectable as the LinkedIn Account when you build a LinkedIn or multi-channel campaign.
Supported actions in a sequence
- Connection Request — with or without a note (300-character limit).
- Message — to first-degree connections (after an accepted request).
- Like Latest Post — likes the prospect's most recent post.
- View Profile — a visit that appears in the prospect's "who viewed your profile".
- Follow — follows the profile without a request.
- Condition — wait N days/hours, then branch on accepted / not accepted (and replied / not replied for messages).
- InMail and Sales Navigator-only actions depend on the account's subscription.
Recommended daily limits
| **Action** | **New account (first 2 weeks)** | **Established account** |
| Connection requests | 5–10 | 20–25 (max \~100/week) |
| Messages | 10–20 | 40–50 |
| Profile views | 20–30 | 60–80 |
| Post likes | 10 | 20–30 |
OutreachFox spreads actions across the sending schedule with random gaps rather than firing them in a burst.
Tips
- One LinkedIn account should be connected to one outreach tool only. Two tools acting on the same account is the fastest route to a restriction.
- Keep using LinkedIn normally (posting, replying) from the same device and location; a profile that only ever sends requests looks like a bot.
- Withdraw pending requests older than 3–4 weeks. A large pending pile lowers acceptance and triggers LinkedIn's weekly cap sooner.
- If LinkedIn shows a "we've restricted your account" warning, pause all LinkedIn campaigns for a week, then resume at half the previous limits.
- Reconnect after changing your LinkedIn password; the session is invalidated.
Troubleshooting
- Connection fails at verification — LinkedIn sent the code to the email or authenticator app on the account; enter it within a few minutes. Try again from the Settings page if it timed out.
- Account shows Disconnected — the session expired or LinkedIn asked for a fresh login. Click Reconnect. Campaign steps queue until reconnected.
- Actions run but nothing appears on LinkedIn — the daily limit is set to 0 for that action, or the sending schedule has no active hours today.
- "Weekly invitation limit reached" — LinkedIn's own cap (about 100 requests per week). Lower the daily limit; requests resume when the week rolls over.
